iQPS was founded in 2005 by professors at Kyushu University to put the university’s small-satellite technology to work. It designs, builds and operates the QPS-SAR small radar satellites, which image the Earth’s surface day and night and in any weather. Development is supported by more than 25 partner companies, most of them in northern Kyushu, which gives the company a secure supply chain and short development cycles. iQPS is adding satellites to observe almost anywhere in the world at short, regular intervals.
